Prime enter quarters


LALITPUR: Prime and Gurukul entered the quarter-finals of the KCM Basketball Bash winning their respective matches here on Saturday. Prime hammered Kathmandu University 57-27 with 14 points from Sagar Thapa and 11 from Siddhartha Maharjan. Shiva Thapa top scored in the match with 17 points for the losing side. Gurukul, meanwhile, earned a hard-fought 43-38 victory over White House. Sadish Pradhan netted 12, while Binod Maharjan scored 10 points for Gurukul. Sanjay Byanjankar poured in 19 points for White House — who also followed Gurukul in the last eight despite the loss. The three teams will be joined by Oxford, K&K, Ace, KEC and Golden Gate in the boys’ section quarters.
